Southwest Buckeye Services offers the CPSI course and certification on behalf of the National Recreation and Park Association. Instruction covers ASTM standards and CPSC guidelines in practical playground settings.

What does the three-day course include? +
Classroom instruction takes place Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a box lunch included. Monday registration is 7:30–8 a.m. Wednesday exam check-in is 8–9 a.m.; the exam is 9:30–11:30 a.m.
What should I know before registering? +
The class requires a minimum of 25 registrations to proceed. Registration acknowledgement and class confirmation are separate. Course materials are mailed in advance; exam-only registrations do not include materials. English and Spanish field guide options are available.

Can I register for just the exam? +
Yes. The CPSI event includes course-and-exam, course-only, and exam-only options. Exam-only registrations do not include the course materials.
When will I receive my course materials? +
Materials are mailed in advance of the course after the minimum registration requirement has been met. You’ll receive class confirmation and instructions before attending.
Are Spanish materials available? +
Latin American Spanish field guide and exam options are available. Request translated materials and exams in advance so arrangements can be confirmed.
Where can I stay nearby? +
The current lodging list includes Drury Inn & Suites Cincinnati Northeast Mason, Hampton Inn & Suites Cincinnati-Mason, and several other hotels near the classroom. View the lodging list ↗
What if I need an exam accommodation? +
Special accommodations and ESL requests need to be arranged in advance. The current course information asks for requests at least 45 days before the scheduled course and exam. Contact Southwest Buckeye Services to discuss arrangements.
